Tesla Model S Station Wagon Renderings — Beauties That Will Never Be Built

Rain Prisk Designs recently put together a rendering of a Tesla Model S as a station wagon. Not familiar with Raid Prisk Designs? I wasn’t either. But he’s apparently a 24-year-old, self-taught, Romanian designer. He used Adobe Photoshop photo editing software and Wacom Bamboo pens for the very professional-looking design below.

Aside from the wheels, I think it looks wonderful. Of course, opinions on the matter largely split down the line of people who like station wagons and those who don’t. I could imagine such a Tesla doing quite well in Europe, but I think the US market isn’t too fond of this vehicle class, Tesla or not.

But chime in with your own thoughts. Love it? Hate it? Meh?

Oh yeah, also shared in the Tesla Motors Club thread where I ran across this was another Tesla station wagon rendering from the back. Together, they give a good preview of what a Tesla station wagon could have looked like.

It’s extremely unlikely Tesla will ever build anything like these. For one, Tesla seems to have given its vehicles a permanent nose job — it’s expected the Model S will get the Model X nose sooner or later. Additionally, Tesla is a ton on its plate in the coming several years. By the time Tesla gets around to creating a station wagon (assuming it ever does), I imagine design preferences and trends will have changed a great deal, as they do with time.
