PEUGEOT Cycles Reinvents the Electric-Assisted Urban Bike with the EC01 Crossover

The PEUGEOT Cycles expand their e-Bikes offering with the new Crossoverbike, urban and versatile. Comfortable, it combines a high driving position, a mixed “city” frame and wide tires that allow the crossing. Its BOSH Performance CX engine and 500 Wh battery make it an ally for city dwellers for their commutes and walks. The design is sleek and modern, with the battery built into the frame. Designed and assembled in France, the PEUGEOT eC01 PowerTube Crossover bike is available from January 2021 for $3,199 TTC, on the cycles.peugeot.fr website as well as in Velo and Oxygen stores.

PEUGEOT eC01 Crossover PowerTube: powerful and versatile

The PEUGEOT eC01 Crossover is equipped with the BOSCH Performance CX engine. Its 63 nM torque combined with the 10 speeds allow you to sneak into traffic with agility and face the terrain. Its 500 Wh BOSCH PowerTube battery has a range of up to 120 kilometres. Its tires, 57 mm thick, are paved, potholes or gravel-proof. To get around in all seasons, its equipment is complete: front and rear lights, sludge guard, chain covers and Racktime luggage racks. The design of this new bike is modern and understated, with its built-in battery frame and dark brown metallic hue.

A new Crossoverbike concept, designed and assembled in France

The designers of the STUDIO PEUGEOT Design Lab in Vélizy (Yvelines) and its partner manufacturer Cycleurope have imagined the Crossoverconcept. Dedicated to hybrid city/all-road use, the PEUGEOT eC01 Crossover combines a mixed “city” setting with wide tires. The architecture of the frame allows for a “straight back” posture and a raised driving position that reassures cyclists. The wide tires and the cushioned front fork allow you to face degraded pavements during the week and trails on weekends, in a comfortable “pullman”. The installation of the battery at the top of the frame facilitates its extraction, avoids dirt and promotes the balance of the bike.

The new PEUGEOT eC01 Crossover is assembled in France, in Romilly sur Seine (Aube). Launched in January 2021, it will complement the offer of high-end multi-purpose PEUGEOT e-bikes (ATV and Trekking) with built-in battery. It will be available in sizes S, M or L, priced at 3,199 euros TTC, on the website cycles.peugeot.fr and at resellers of the brand Cycles PEUGEOT.
