LR 1250.1 Unplugged Crawler crane

The LR 1250.1 unplugged is the world’s first battery-powered crawler crane. It is driven by an electric engine. During operation the crane can be connected to a conventional electric supply or without a cable, therefore “unplugged”. The capacity of the battery is designed for 4 hours lifting operation. There are no compromises regarding performance or availability when compared with the diesel version LR 1250.1.

A tip of the hat to one of CleanTechnica‘s readers, Alexandre Moleiro, who offered this brief guest post.

“They are using 700V DC battery tech with 196kWh and they charge at 40kW (3-phase AC 64A) or optional 80kW (3-phase AC 125A).”
