Mission Motor Company Acquired By Vayon Holdings

The former electric motorcycle firm Mission Motor Company has been acquired by Vayon Holdings Limited, according to a recent press release.

The acquisition by Vayon Holdings was, according to the firm, driven by its interests in Mission Motor Company’s testing capabilities/facilities — specifically, the “additional testing capability including high voltage and battery testing, electric motor testing, and climate chambers.”

The Chairman of Vayon Holdings, Shane Hussain, commented: “The acquisition of Mission (Motor Company), with their strong portfolio of electric power-train technologies and Skyline Telematics, fits perfectly with Vayon’s strategy. By expanding our range of high performance solutions and accelerating the development of advanced telematics and cutting edge software, we are strengthening our position for accelerated growth in both the connected car and electric power-train sector.”

While Mission Motor Company was originally focused on the development of electric motorbikes when it was first founded back in 2007, the company later shifted focus to become mostly a supplier of electric vehicle components to other manufacturers.
