Enterprising Tesla fanatic “ocasual” took the data from http://www.model3tracker.info and decided to roll out his own map based on the data. Essentially, the resulting map takes the data in the tracker and extrapolates the distribution by country based on what has already been shared.
The obvious criticism of this approach is that the tracker doesn’t have details for all Tesla Model 3 reservation holders (like me … ok, I added myself).
Beyond that, there is a bias towards only capturing English-speaking reservation holders, and a further bias, as only tech-savvy, internet-eager users will even find the site let alone opt in to add their data.
Nonetheless, it’s a fun tool that gives some rough perspective on where the reservations might be and even allows drill-down functionality within the US to include visibility at the state level.
