Someone recently passed along to me a fun Chevy Volt commercial I don’t think I had ever seen. It’s actually quite old, but worth a share, and if I hadn’t seen it before, I imagine plenty of others also haven’t.
What I love about it is that it highlights what probably 90% of people don’t realize: you can charge an electric vehicle using a simple, normal electric outlet. It’s really that easy. Plug in when you get home and charge while you chill out on the couch.
Of course, the humor is also nice.
The $1.50 a day stat is also good. Anyone who fills up a gasmobile on a regular basis surely knows that’s a lot cheaper than driving a gasmobile.
Lastly, the Chevy Volt commercial quickly notes that you can also use gas in the Chevy Volt for longer trips. That point seems to be missed by many people who for some reason thing the Volt is a 100% electric vehicle.
If you’re new to the car, learn more about the Volt in our Chevy Volt archives or on the GM website.
