The world’s northernmost winter test of electric cars!

Welcome to our four-day winter test of five pure-electric cars in Finmark, a county at the northernmost tip of Norway.
The four-day test covered a total of 1.500 kilometers, from the Russian border near Kirkenes in the east, via Nordkapp in the north, Karasjok in the south, and Tromsø in the west of Troms & Finnmark as our final destination.
Our goal was to test the five cars in harsh winter conditions, and at the same time, the new fast-charging network called Ishavsveien.
We had no (or very limited) access to destination charging during the trip, resulting in cold battery packs in the morning and a significantly decreased range.
We were incredibly fortunate to capture breathtaking drone footage of the test cars at popular tourist destination Nordkapp on a freezing winter’s day in January.
Mission impossible, or no challenge at all?
