Together with evpass and its partners, SAK (St.Gallisch-Appenzellische Kraftwerke AG) is expanding the evpass charging network. Evpass is the largest public charging network in Switzerland with 1,670 charging stations. In the parking lot in front of the municipality of Rehetobel, the SAK has put another charging station with the number 127 into operation.
E-mobility is booming. This is borne out by the high demand for electric vehicles and the announcements by the well-known car manufacturers in the current year to bring a diverse selection of models to the market in all price categories. The increasing efficiency and falling prices of electric cars are making e-mobility a valable alternative for more and more people compared to conventional vehicles with internal combustion engines. E-mobility is also becoming more attractive thanks to the ever-increasing public charging network in Switzerland. Recently, the municipality of Rehetobel also put an evpass charging station in the parking lot in front of the municipal administration into operation. This was installed by the SAK and can be operated via evpass app, evpass card, SBB SwissPass or apps from other roaming providers. Customers charge their electric vehicles with natural electricity.
supporting the energy future
Thomas Frei, municipal councillor for Rehetobel, is pleased about the new charging stations: “We also want to support the energy future and offer our residents and visitors the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles with natural electricity. With the charging station, we fulfil another point in the mission statement of Rehetobel. The charging solutions from SAK and evpass are an attractive offer.”
