Software engineers wanting to help in the creation of a fully autonomous driving system, listen up! Tesla is apparently now hiring new software engineers in order to “ramp up the team” and more quickly achieve “generalized full autonomy.”
So, if you ever wanted to work for Tesla in such a capacity (and are qualified), here’s your chance. Worth noting here is that CEO Elon Musk will be conducting the interviews himself, apparently — and that the Autopilot team reports to him directly.

The query certainly generated a fair number of Twitter replies… and presumably actual resume submissions as well. I swear, this guy has become an outright object of worship for some in the wealthier parts of the world. He should found a techno-church for his own worship or something. Wasted resource as it is now….
Here are some of the replies/exchanges:
Should mention that I will be interviewing people personally and Autopilot reports directly to me. This is a super high priority.

Those interested, who can’t see the tweets for whatever reason, are directed to submit their resumes to autopilot@teslamotors.com
We spotted the tweets from Elon on Twitter, but tip of the hat to “Discoducky” on the Tesla Motors Club forum for this: “Ah, reminds me of the good ol’ days in Sept 2013:”
Engineers interested in working on autonomous driving, pls email autopilot@teslamotors.com. Team will report directly to me.

Looks like it worked well enough the first time that he’s using the same approach again two years later.
