Normally, I don’t laugh at the pain of others. But when you have a vicious group of people who have targeted Tesla, its customers, supporters, its CEO, and his family members, and even myself a few times, I can’t help but smirk at the poetic justice here. Disclaimer: I am a Tesla shareholder with a small number of shares. I fully believe in Tesla’s mission and support the idea of accelerating humanity to sustainability. We need to stop destroying this planet.
Most of Tesla’s short sellers have bailed on their mission to short the stock, but there are still a few diehards out there who, in my opinion, are either really really blinded by hatred to the point of losing their sense or are on someone’s payroll. That aside, let’s look at some of the jokes. I think the tweet below is my favorite.
What frequency is most painful to $tslaq ears?
100,000 hertz.

Even Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, got in on the jokes when @Ray4Tesla shared an article by Apple News about how Tesla could be a $2.5 trillion company according to Loup Ventures’ Gene Munster.
“Tesla Hertz Shorts”
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 29, 2021
All jokes aside, I really think it is poetic justice that it was Hertz who became a customer of Tesla’s, which seemingly pushed Tesla to the $1T market cap. Elon Musk often joked about the short burn of the century, and Tesla even created some short shorts out of sheer mockery of its critics. But the pain for the remaining short sellers who have nothing nice to say about anyone supporting Tesla or Elon will continue.
CNN reported that Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi hoped that Hertz drivers renting Teslas will eventually end up buying a Tesla.
“This is an open doorway for our driver community to try it… If you’ve been in a Tesla, I have, once you try it, you want to buy it.”
Khosrowshahi also added that drivers who chose to rent a Tesla through Hertz would receive a $1 per ride bonus–up to $4,000 a year.
“This is our way of pushing the economics, and kind of tilting the economics a little bit in favor of sustainability.”
And this is what matters the most. Sustainability. And this is why I think most of those die-hard anti-Tesla conspiracy nuts have either lost it or are on a payroll. I mean, why else obsessed about Tesla and its supporters 24/7? And continue to lose money?
I think the money should be spent investing in companies that benefit our world. There are other companies besides Tesla that are doing great works in healing our planet and its people. I’ve found a few just from writing at CleanTechnica. I think we need to move away from encouraging the sheer hatred of someone to the point of losing your mind over it because this is damaging. When you are filled with hatred, not only does it affect your emotions, but it also affects your physical body. You’re literally hurting yourself by hating someone.
Just my 2.5 cents.
