Tesla Model S (and Model X, I suppose) owners throughout Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong, will be given access to Spotify Premium following a new firmware update, according to recent reports.
The move to give owners access to Spotify Premium follows closely on the buying out of “Rdio” (a music service previously available to owners in Europe) by Pandora, and the subsequent end of availability. It’s not completely clear yet whether US Tesla owners will also be given access to the popular music service.
Spotify’s Senior Manager of Business Development, Jonathan Tarlton, commented in an interview with The Telegraph that: “The car radio has not changed much at all, so what we’re doing with Tesla represents the future. Tesla owners will be able to access a full premium experience, free from adverts.”

Good news for Tesla owners in the territories in question I suppose, even if a bit less important than other recent Tesla news. On that note, the Tesla Model 3 official unveiling is getting closer by the day….
