Automakers spend billions of dollars every year marketing their latest and greatest vehicles, and sometimes it can be hard to get a great product any attention. In Japan though, marketing companies often go to extreme, and extremely confusing sales tactics that to outside observers makes little or no sense.
Take this ad for the Toyota Prius Plug-in. There’s no real way to describe this video other than bizarre, and our lack of knowledge of Japanese pop culture leaves us clueless as to how this is supposed to sell hybrids.
There’s no sense trying to make any sense of it. Just watch and be bewildered, like me.
