One wouldn’t necessarily expect a car as expensive as the Cadillac ELR to sell used for just $39,000 (with only 2,800 miles on the odometer), would they?
Having 2,800 miles on the odometer, that means that the car has barely even been used, and yet it’s selling for much, much less than what was paid for it. What gives? Is the car really that terrible that someone would rather just take the loss and unload it?
Hard to say, but the example used above is certainly not an exception. Taking a look at the used offerings on Cars.com right now, that’s appearing like the consensus pricing, more or less. There’s actually even one on offer for $42,000 with only 43 miles on the odometer — as well as a completely new one for $45,500 — a bit more than half of the MSRP for the 2014 model.
While it was already well known that the model was something of an overpriced dunce, it’s still interesting to see how this is playing out. Anyone have any personal experiences with the model that they’d like to share?
