The Tesla Model X is a rather flashy car, even for a Tesla, mostly owing to the eye-catching falcon-wing doors — which are pretty much like absolutely nothing else on the market right now.
I’m sure that they catch a lot of people’s eyes when they’re in action. Which is no doubt part of what drove their development and inclusion in the Model X, despite the many difficulties.
On that subject, the prolific Tesla vlogger Bjorn Nyland recently posted a video showing his Tesla Model X left with its falcon-wing doors open … on a busy Oslo (Norway) street. They inevitably drew quite a crowd. Here’s the video:
Autoblog, where I ran across the video, set its coverage up with the following lead-in: “Bjorn Nyland might be the world’s most famous Tesla owner. Well, no, not the most famous person to own a Tesla (that’d be someone like Will.I.Am), but a person who has become famous for owning a Tesla. He’s been a big advocate for electromobility and the brand and he’s a smart video creator, he knew that, sometimes, a Tesla is just too tempting. That’s why he took his Model X to Aker Brygge, a popular destination in Oslo, Norway, opened the doors, and walked away. As you might suspect, the unattended electric vehicle quickly drew a crowd, with passersby taking pictures, pawing the car, and sitting down inside.” (Editor’s note: Beyonce and Oprah are probably a lot more famous than Will.I.Am, but anywho.)
I guess that it’s probably a good thing that this happened in Oslo, rather than a city like New York or London. Someone might have urinated or thrown up in it in those cities.
