With the recent official launch of Tesla’s Pre-Owned Model S resale program, those interested in purchasing a Model S were given an interesting new option/path to ownership — and owners who were looking to unload their units were given an official channel where they could to do so. Tesla’s current CPO webpage is bit sparse on some of the information that buyers are interested in, though — limiting that information mostly to city, color, and trim data.
To address this spareness of information, a commenter on the Tesla Motors Club forum by the name of “HankLloydRight” has come up with a very good solution — the “Tesla CPO Consolidator.” His new system gives those interested a very quick way to sort through all of the used units available by a variety of different parameters, including: cost, mileage, roof, wheels, interior, date added, etc.
An interesting system, and very arguably of much greater utility for browsing than Tesla’s own site — definitely worth taking a look for those interested in a used Tesla. Even though I’m not intending to buy one, it’s still pretty interesting, so maybe take a look anyways. 🙂
Interestingly, according to the system, there have already been 47 units “sold/removed.” That seems to be a fairly fast rate of sales — a bit faster than I was expecting.
It’s worth mentioning here: those in Canada get their own chart, with prices in Canadian dollars, Canadian pickup sites, etc.
According to the “HankLloydRight” himself, the chart is automatically updated roughly every hour or so. So… there’s not much else to say. Make use of it and thank the man!
