Slated to go on sale in the U.S. later this year, the 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf will be paired with Bosch and ChargePoint charging systems when it launches. This will give Volkswagen’s first fully-electric vehicle access to an extensive charging network across many of the most popular markets for EVs, as well as an established home-charging solution.
Bosch has been tapped to provide and install several charging options for the e-Golf, including the 240-volt PowerMax charging station. e-Golf buyers will also have access to a Bosch Vehicle Charging Advisor, who will provide customers support for installation, permit applications, and no-cost quotes for installation and units at competitive prices.
In addition to the Bosch home charging solution, 2015 e-Golf buyers will get no-cost access to the more than 18,000 ChargePoint EV chargers across the U.S. 60^ of ChargePoint chargers are free, and it comprises one of the largest EV charging networks in the nation, giving e-Golf drivers plenty of options when it comes to juicing up.
