The Swiss Renault Zoe Is Finally Available

Following a fairly long wait, the Swiss Edition of the Renault Zoe electric vehicle is now finally available.

The new Switzerland-only version of the popular, compact electric vehicle (EV) features a number of upgrades that will no doubt appeal to those in the wealthy, somewhat cold country. This includes: heated leather seats; new 16-inch wheels; a BOSE sound system; the new Renault R-LINK EVOLUTION; and the option of a new metallic grey paint job.

Our friends over at Push EVs explain why heated seats are a good choice for climate control in EVs: “Heated seats are especially important for electric cars, since they allow to make passengers comfortable without using much energy. Heating the seats that have direct contact with our bodies is always more efficient than heating the air. Now with the use of the heated seats instead of AC, the Zoe can get more range in colder days than before.”

That coverage goes on to note that some of the new features seem likely to end up as options for the anticipated Renault Zoe R400. No doubt some of those in other northern areas of Europe would be interested in the heated seats.

PS: There is No such a thing as a Plug-In Electric Vehicle with Zero Emission. Not Now or Ever in the Future.

There is No such a thing as a “Electric Vehicle Wireless Power/Charging System”

It should be called Aboveground or Inground Electric Charging System Without Plug-In.

  3. In Norway, Zoe has had heated seats as a standard feature since early 2015. So that is not a new thing, at least there. But those leather seats do look nice though.
