Quick Chek In NY Site Of New Tesla Superchargers

A Quick Chek Food Store chain location in New York’s Hudson Valley recently became home to a new Tesla Supercharger station, marking one of the first times that a convenience store in the US has become the site of a Supercharger installation.

The new Supercharger installation — located at the Quick Chek store at 640 Washington Avenue in the Hudson River city of Kingston, New York — is apparently a test of the idea. If the Superchargers seem to bring the Quick Chek location business, then there may be a wider rollout of the partnership.

As it stands, Quick Chek now operates around 150 stores in the states of New York and New Jersey. It’s currently in the process of “aggressively expanding,” though, so this number will likely surge over the coming years.

Green Car Reports provides more info and context: “Tesla has previously courted gas-station chains for Supercharger sites, among them the mid-Atlantic chain of Sheetz gas stations. … As far as I know, Quick Chek is the first convenience-store operator to install Tesla Superchargers on any of its properties (although the distinction between a gas station and a convenience store has blurred a lot). … I spoke with a high-ranking Quick Chek executive, who said the Kingston store is a test location.”

Does anyone that lives in the area have a comment? Are Quick Chek parking lots good locations for Tesla Superchargers?

PS: There is No such a thing as a Plug-In Electric Vehicle with Zero Emission. Not Now or Ever in the Future.

There is No such a thing as a “Electric Vehicle Wireless Power/Charging System”

It should be called Aboveground or Inground Electric Charging System Without Plug-In.

    1. Good lord that’s a lot of verbal diaharea.
Yeah, a lot of people realize there’s options for wirelessly charging an EV. You do lose efficiency and charging speed though, compared to plugging it into a good wired charger.
Not sure what you mean by “NO OUTSIDE ELECTrIC NEEDED”. Every EV needs to be recharged with electricity that came from outside the car. A solar panel on the roof of the car would take weeks/months to charge an EV battery.
Of course there’s no such thing as zero emissions. The electricity had to come from somewhere. The point is EV’s can be powered by renewable energy (solar, wind, ect), which produce a LOT less emissions than existing fossil fuel plants.
